Table t molding... May 31, 2017, 12:15:28 am Tried searching and have found some that bought t molding replacements from LD, and it seems like it comes in something larger than the 1 1/8" table thickness, and then needs trimming. I found this site carries it in 1 1/8", and in multiple woodgrains, not sure if they are exact or not. I'm considering going for the whole 250' roll to try it out.... Has anyone found something better? Or would anyone be interested in splitting up a roll of not?

Reply #1 – May 31, 2017, 11:17:10 am I believe edge moulding is almost always trimmed after installation, in order to get a fine, finished mate to the surface veneer.E.g:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wm576bsYPpsYouTube has lots of similar routing tips for such operations.Steve
Re: Table t molding... Reply #2 – May 31, 2017, 11:57:15 am How bout that. I can tell you my factory tee has either shrunk and grown abit, or it was not trimmed with a router. I'd bet (in my case) a nominal 1.125 might fit better than what is there with less effort, but I will investigate both paths. Thanks.
Re: Table t molding... Reply #3 – May 31, 2017, 12:15:21 pm LD has used different size t-moldings. Some are the exact size, others are oversize and get trimmed to size, after installation. The cleanest way to trim T-molding and/or veneer is with angled router bit, that slices the edge back at a slight angle.BOSCH 85422M 3/4-Inch Diameter 3/8-Inch Cut Triple Flute Laminate 9 Degree...Low-angle hand planes are often used by cabinetmakers to trim the edge of veneers.Stanley Sweetheart Low Angle Block Plane | Rockler Woodworking and HardwareLarry As an Amazon Associate Lazy Daze Owners' Group earns from qualifying purchases.
