Upholstery Cleaning Guidance

I could find nothing in the manual regarding how to clean the upholstery in a LD.  I checked with Butterfield Interiors, the company that does the upholstery finish work for LD and they were not helpful, saying that the fabric comes in on rolls, is Scotchguarded at the factory and they don't have a recommendation on how to clean it.
 What are your experiences in cleaning the upholstery?  I'm guessing that normal household upholstery cleaner such as Lan-O-Sheen or auto upholstery cleaner such as Tuff Stuff would work.

Your thoughts please.

We'd sure like to hear from anyone who has had their upholstery professional cleaned.  And thanks in advance.

The upholstery has been a concern of mine since we brought the LD home. Both couches have been covered since day one and just recently we covered the dinette seats and back rests.

The tendency is for us to place a hand on the corner of the dinette backrest as we pass, sit or get off the floor. The main concern with that is the constant grime our hands pick up throughout the day. One can only imagine what years of this type of abuse would yield.

It's good to hear that the factory Scotch Guards the upholstery since I've never gotten around to doing it myself.

With that, I would be very interested in hearing which cleaning products are being used and to what degree of success has been achieved.

Some years back, while our carpets were being cleaned, I had the cleaners do the upholstery in the LD. It seemed to help; nothing was really very soiled. I've also continued to use Tuff Stuff <https://www.amazon.com/Tuff-Stuff-Purpose-Cleaner-Cleaning/dp/B0009PCPNQ> which is easy to use and works for me. I have covered the driver's and passenger's seats with sheepskin covers. The couch stays covered while traveling as long as we have dogs.
