Re: Eclipse live streaming info. Reply #5 – August 21, 2017, 02:42:46 pm Partly to mostly cloudy out here. Drove all over dirt roads hoping against hope and ended up just south of Stromsberg Nebraska. The clouds broke just in time to see it. Incredible. A deep red sash along the upper left of the corona with a more expected yellow the rest of the way around.Grateful to have experienced it. 1 Likes
Re: Eclipse live streaming info. Reply #6 – August 21, 2017, 03:49:20 pm Perfect skies over Big Bear for the eclipse. Sat in the grass by the lake. My daughter commented that it got cooler as the eclipse progressed. Winds picked up and waves rolled onshore while the ducks became restless. Pretty interesting. As the eclipse passed the winds died down and the weather became noticeably warmer. We really enjoyed ourselves to the tune of ducks on water. Very surreal.Used my Solar glasses to capture some shots of the experience with my phone.Chillin' on a beautiful day at the lake.Kent 2 Likes

Reply #7 – August 21, 2017, 04:24:27 pm And for those that did all they could do to get a great view -- here is DW and friends in their front yard ......Some thoughts. I went on my normal 6 mile daily walk. As I crossed some major street I've never seen them so empty on a Monday morning. Seems the whole city of Portland was waiting. It was the quietest I've ever heard (or not heard). As the eclipse rolled in the tree and leave shadows become sharper. You can see the effect on the image. We could feel the temps drop. As the eclipse become close to 99 % the light intensity dropped. There were no bird sounds. Wow -- I was glad I could see and feel this. 2 Likes
