24 king in Mid West? June 22, 2017, 08:07:35 pm We live in IL and are very interested in the LD 24 Twin King. Anyone in the mid west have one we could look at? We have been investigating motorhomes for several months and keep coming back to the 24 Twin King. We have had travel trailers and currently travel in a truck camper. We do not like slides. Anyone out there?

Do you have a real name? There is or was a Lazy Daze Club called the Great Lakes Lazy Daze Caravan Club. I know nothing about them or who to contact but perhaps you can track them down. I'll provide a link to the Mother Club, perhaps there is something there which will help. Most regional LD Groups hold Get To Gathers (GTG) and are always happy to show off their rigs. Re: 24 king in Mid West? Reply #3 – June 23, 2017, 10:05:10 am Annette & SteveAnother possibility would be the North East Lazy Daze group, I'm fairly certain they are active. Also the Southeast bunch is heard from frequently. There has to be someone near you... Lazy Daze folks are not shy, just dispersed. Shout out on this forum for someone in your area. You may not find a twin-king but a short peek at any LD can be a learning experience.
Re: 24 king in Mid West? Reply #4 – June 23, 2017, 11:11:19 am Thank you for suggesting another group. We occasionally get to Eastern KY area and Lafayette, LA. Anyone with a LD in those 2 areas with a 24 T/King please let us know. We hope to visit the factory next year.Annette and Steve

Re: 24 king in Mid West? Reply #7 – June 25, 2017, 06:43:25 pm So glad we were able to connect and tour your LD. It's a beauty and now we can see how well built and laid out it is. Well worth the look. We think now we will consider a slightly used 24 Twin King. Thanks again for the look see,Annette and Steve

Re: 24 king in Mid West? Reply #10 – June 26, 2017, 12:40:49 pm Oodle is an "aggregator" classified site; this link shows many models and years of LDs for sale in the US. (It's set with my location, but shows LDs country-wide.) LDs are for sale in parts other than the western US, of course, but in much lesser numbers."lazy daze" | RVs & Motorhomes for Sale in San Jose, California | Used...JMO, but finding the "right" rig is very likely to require a lot of patience, diligent searching, flexibility, and being able and willing to expand one's area focus and travel to check out a potential buy. Sometimes, a deal may just drop serendipitously into one's lap, but, in most cases, I think it's likely that a whole lot of frog-kissing will precede the actual find! I believe that the basic "givens" in searching for a good match are to set a top price point for the initial buy (understanding that additional funds will very likely be necessary for repairs, replacements, upgrades, etc.), to focus the search on a specific model (or models) and range of model years. (A starting point to narrow the model and year field is the "Changes by Year" doc linked on the home page of the message board.) Additionally, one needs to learn the pros and cons of the layouts, engines, chassis, and systems of the various years and models, and how to inspect a used LD for potentially costly surprises! (JMO, but I would never trust a PDI from a dealer.) Generally, the more one looks, the more one learns. http://www.rvlifestyleexperts.com/getting-started/Changin%27%20Gears%20-%20RV%20Inspection%20Checklist.pdfGood luck! 1 Likes
