Lazy Daze Great Lakes Caravan Club
Is the LD Great Lakes Caravan Club still having  get to gethers ? I'm a nonowner from the Midwest and would like to see some LD motorhomes.

Hi."rabbit" (do you have another name you prefer?)--

Where are you in the Midwest?  I'm in Chillicothe, in north central Missouri (US 36, midway between St. Joe on the west/Missouri River side & Hannibal on the east/Mississippi River side), about 90 miles NE of the Kansas City metro, and about 140 miles due south of Des Moines.

I'll be glad to show you my '05 31' Twin Bed, if that is of any help.  But a Great Lakes GTG does sound inviting...especially as our Missouri humidity is ramping up.  Good luck on your hunt.

Hi Lynne, my name is Lynn, male not female. I come down your way quite often. I live in NE. Iowa. Thank you for the generous invite. I was wondering if the Great Lakes group still has get togethers? If I get down your way I may look you up. Thank You.

Hi, Lynn--

Another member of the club & the cult!  We have three in our church--the other two are like you (males, with no final "e").  I knew many girls growing up in the '60s who had "Lynn" as a middle name, but only went by the first name; lots of Debbies & Susies & Marys & K/Cathys growing up, but only one other girl in the class behind me went by Lynn.  Mine is also the middle part of "Rita Lynne" but my parents chose to use the middle...though Mizzou could not figure out that Rita Broyles & Lynne Broyles were the same person, so I started signing everything with the whole handle back in the '70s--interestingly, my kids figured out it was a stranger on the phone if they asked for "Rita" instead of "Lynne".

Good luck on the hunt for your own baby.  My interest in Iowa was piqued by an elderly neighbor who moved down this way and shared lots about growing up/farming/raising a family around Leon (but he called it "Lynne"), so I went to Pella for the festival three years ago, & plan to do more trips north (did you know there was a border war--called the Honey War--between MO & Iowa that was settled in the Supreme Court?  I loved the history my friend shared).  Please do give a holler if you come this direction & I'll be glad to show you LDy Lulubelle.

Speaking of coming this direction, wanting to remind anyone interested in the August eclipse, that Chillicothe is almost directly on the line for total darkness & anyone coming this way is welcome to boondock out at the farm.
