Re: Safe Selfie Pledge Reply #2 – May 13, 2017, 02:48:11 am Whatever happened to Darwinism and cleaning up the gene pool? The people I feel sorry for are the emergency response crews that must deal with the aftermath of these tourist-animal encounters. It can take a heavy toll on them, a few less bodies would be welcomed.Larry 4 Likes
Re: Safe Selfie Pledge Reply #3 – May 13, 2017, 11:19:41 am I'm with Larry, but perhaps a little more harsh. In prior generations, the dumb ones managed to exterminate themselves before they propagated. Good way to remove those genes from the gene pool in a way that nature intended. Now they have to be protected from themselves with the subsequent gene pool suffering.I'm still rooting for the grizzlies, white sharks, bison, and motorcycles. Sorry about the mess.Let the flames begin.HD 2 Likes

Re: Safe Selfie Pledge Reply #5 – May 14, 2017, 08:57:28 am Some years ago a ranger told us of chap that put honey on his shoes so he could get a good picture while the bear licked his shoes. We are all for a feed the bear's park. Put diving boards on the hot springs in Yellowstone. 3 Likes
Re: Safe Selfie Pledge Reply #6 – May 14, 2017, 11:47:31 am A few years ago, Cyndy and I camped next to a family at Sugar Pine Point State Park by Lake Tahoe. They put out an ice chest and dabbed it with peanut butter so they could see the bears outside their trailer at night. They were quite offended when the bear also pushed the window out of their trailer and reached inside with its big furry arm and trashed their adjacent cupboards. Lots of screaming and noise.I believe there was a ticket issued. The "adults" were incensed and complained to anyone who would listen that they were held accountable for their own stupidity.Let's hear it for the bears.HD 8 Likes
