Thank you fellow LD cultists
Just a quick thank you to all who contribute here.

I've always preferred vehicles with a bit of a cult following. '57 Chevy wagon, VW beetles and vans, old Porsches, BMW motorcycles and, of course, our LD. Why? Because a cult following is a sure indication of a product that inspires passion, loyalty and, as often demonstrated here, knowledge.

Yesterday we took off in the LD for a brief escape near home, to Washoe Lake SP. Not long after arriving I deployed the awning but then the wind came up and, as I was cranking it back in, two quick bangs and it hung slack near the ground. It didn't take long to determine that the two plastic bushings that are part of Fiamma's "dual shock absorber" system had broken.

With help from my bride I got the awning in but of course started to ponder the repair. First stop naturally was a search here. And I quickly had all the information I needed to understand the problem and how to fix it, mostly from Larry Wade of course, who else? Including the part numbers I needed to place an order with Fiamma, which I did right from this phone.

So, with the great help of this site and all who make it work, problem largely solved and off my mind, right from camp. Thank you all, but especially in this case Larry and our moderator Chris Horst. May the cult prosper!
