Frist ding on the LD
Well I am sure everyone can relate to that first scratch or ding on a new vehicle.  After taking possession of our brand new LD just over the border in Arizona, with about 216 miles on the odometer. We picked up a nice rock chip on the windshield that couldn't be anymore perfect  in my  line of vision.   When my wife herd it hit the windshield,  she turned to me and said
" well we got that one out of the way pretty fast " At that point it would take a whole lot more than a chipped windshield  to chisel the smiles off our faces knowing what our future vacations are going to be like in our new rig.
Cheers to the first ding or scratch.

Congratulations on your new ride. I sure hope the rock chip isn't an oman.

Happy Days, Buggy, and welcome to the forum. What model did you buy and what influenced your decision to buy an LD?

Sorry about the chip.

That's the very reason I carry 100% glass coverage on my insurance. So far I've had 3 new windshields installed for free.  >:(

A chip repair is a $50 item.
If it cannot be repaired, most insurance companies will replace a windshield without you paying the deductible. They see it as a safety item.

Enjoy your travels.

Hey Buggy, be glad it was the easily repaired or replaced windshield and not one of the fenders. And don't forget there is a fellow Buckeye waiting to see your new toy when you get back to Cleveland!
