Re: Raptor with snake Reply #2 – March 07, 2017, 07:37:41 pm Nice shot! Speaking of rattlesnakes, on our trip to the Grand Canyon last month, we learned that there is a species of rattlesnake that is found ONLY in the Grand Canyon. It has adapted it's color to the pink walls of the canyon and is called the . . .wait for it . . . Re: Raptor with snake Reply #4 – March 08, 2017, 02:52:28 am Lunch!(it tastes like chicken)Our home is across the street from a 1500 acre wildlife refuge that's now a green oasis.. A couple days ago I watched two Red Tails do an aerial dance that went on for several minutes.. With so much food now available, the rodents are multiplying already, it's time for a new generation of hawks.Larry 1 Likes
Re: Raptor with snake Reply #5 – March 08, 2017, 09:46:02 am Thanks for all the kind comments. I heard about Grand Canyon rattlesnake down on the river in the Canyon; like a Sky Island in that it's evolved its own species. I wanted to see a California Condor but did that get that lucky.Larry, perhaps you need some snakes also to help with those rodents...Matt
