LED Awning lights question
Anyone install the LED awning strip lights? If so where did you get the power from?

I'm not familiar with the 26.5 MidBath floor plan but if your exterior fridge hatch is on the passenger (awning) side you have access to an AC outlet behind that hatch.   ;)

The RK has the fridge and extra 110 plug on the passenger side. We bought a couple strings of those lights that look like little LD's. 😋 We use some little hooks that slide in the slot on the awning then run an extension cord to the fridge vent using Velcro strips to attach the cord to the awning arm to keep it out of the way.

However, we only put them out a couple times then stopped. We may do so here and there going forward but I just don't get the lights thing. There are few things better than sitting out in the dark and letting your eyes aclime to the dark. Then, you can watch the space junk and constellations. Ahhhhhh

I leave lights and noise in the city and camping is an escape from all that.

I like the stars. The wife likes lights.  I got lights for Christmas.  I guess that when I'm plugged in we will do lights. When I'm in the wilds we will not.   Campfires kind of kill the night vision anyway so lights are not such a big step.

Duro,
From your aviator picture it looks like you have outside 120 outlet by your water heater.  Otherwise run an extension cord across the hood to the refrigerator access door.

For 12 VDC  connect battery clamps to the coach (Aux) battery terminal on the battery isolator under the hood.

The fridge is on the drivers side on the MD.

That would work but I was looking for a permanent install without having cords exposed.

Hi Duro. Looking at the floorplan for the MidBath, your patio light, above left of your coach door, would be a good location to pick off +12vdc. Awning lights should be available in 12v models. By taking the orange lens out temporaily you cound drill a small hole in the side of the fixture and attach a two wire 12v connector with grommet and sealant. You wolud have to get a matching connector for the awning lights. Your interior wall switch would turn on/off the awning lights. I don't know your skill level with 12v circuits.
Another way; the aft end of your awning is located at the inside of an overhead storage cabinet inside. There is 12v wiring available inside the floor of that cabinet for the florescent fixture. You could install a 12v. plug on the outside of your motorhome to plug the awning lights into. Do these lights stay on the awning when it is closed up?   RonB

Ron yes they stay on the awning full time. The ones I looked at online are attached to the bottom of the awning housing with 3m tape. I think your idea for inside the cabinet to pick up power would be the best bet. I want these to operate independently from the porch light. They can be pretty obnoxious to other campers. So I definitely want to be able to shut them off and still have a porch light.
