Typically restaurants license thier brand to, and partner with package goods food companies to develop products that are sold like that.

Boston Market and Bob Evans sold such rights for pot pies and dinners to raise some much needed cash when they were unable to meet Wall Street's expectations. Taco Bell sold such rights as a way to expand brand awareness. California Pizza Kitchen, Marie Calendars, Etc.

The products are usually quite close to the original, even though the processes of making the food are often far different.

"Cracker Barrel" is a trademark of Kraft Foods.

You are, as always, quite correct Andy. I was back at the store today and made it a point to check on that very thing. What I discovered was that it is a product of Kraft/Heinz. Guess that settles that!  ::)
