1987 22ft escape hatch cover
Hello.... I have an 1987 22ft class C with very low mileage. I have put on new tires, changed the complete U bolt assembly,  installed a new master cylinder and pump, all new belts and hoses. The owner before me ran the cab AC after it had set for many years and blew the seals and lost the unit, I may fix this in the future. Every thing else still works well, fridge, water heater, roof ac, and  the engine is in top shape and runs great. I do need to replace the cover on the front escape hatch as it was very sun damaged and blew off in high winds. My awning all so needs new metal arms but I think I can fabricate them. Rookie mistake in hail storm, ouch. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You Larry

See if LD still has the escape hatch available.
LD sells quality parts, at a fair price.

Agreed. My overhead cab hatch on an 04 took a tree limb hit and they had a replacement to me in no time.

I also got a skylight at the same time as I had gone through two of the old, crappy types they used in the day. The new skylight is awesome and looks nice too.

Self-installed on both (rivet gun needed on the overhead hatch) and if I can do it anyone can do it.

Hello Elfsurf:
How did you solve the escape hatch cover problem?  I am looking for the same cover and have the same 1987 LD as you?  I don't think I have to replace the whole unit as just the cover is cracked.
I'm not sure how this page all works, but my email is  jeerlinger@yahoo.com.  Thanks
