Victron BMV-700 Installation Advise February 07, 2017, 09:21:34 pm For our 2000 Mid-Bath, I would like to install the Monitor at eye-level between the microwave and the range hood. In planning the wiring for installation , routing the UTP cable between the Shunt and the Monitor is not obvious. After leaving the battery box it can route above the water tank easily but I can't find a path to the overhead cabinet. Perhaps it can be routed in the refrigerator box. I am hoping someone perhaps has a solution. Thank you. Pat Grant

Another is to run it up alongside the vent pipe in the corner behind the sink. Or you could run it up the inside wall by the stove (the wall with the fridge on its other side), or the outside wall adjacent to that, using Wiremold to conceal it. Of course it will require drilling a hole in the countertop back there, but that's pretty easy to do.I've done both. I recently installed a marine propane detector's readout in the location you have in mind for the BMV700, running the wire up the stove/fridge corner. The detector's sensor, which is supposedly of higher quality than the standard RV detector I had before, is mounted down below at floor level, so its cable had to be brought up to the separate readout head, which is about the same size and shape as the BMV700. (I have my BMV-700 mounted in a cabinet end panel, along with a bunch of other monitor panels.)
