12 volt coach schematics for 1988 26'TK. November 27, 2016, 01:43:06 am Has any one created detailed schematics of the 1988 12 volt coach?Mine has 4 wires coming from the 12 volt coach positive. The manual shows 2, and I assume the third is for the generator starter motor.

The manual shows 2, and I assume the third is for the generator starter motor. No one I know has an accurate schematic for any LD, the Factory doesn't produce one for our consumption, except for the very rudimentary diagram, in the Owners Manual.Generators, in older LD's, were an option and probably the reason why the large, positive cable, that goes to the generator's starter, isn't shown.I would imagine Andy has a proper schematic for his 2003 MB, but its wiring has been extensively modified and/or replaced with marine-grade wiring and equipment. The good news is the coach's wiring isn't all that complicated, most everything feeds from the Power Center's fuses and breakers. Unfortunately, the runs for the wiring is not indicated at all in the Owner's Manual.FYI, somewhere in the positive wire run, between the battery compartment and the Power Center, is a hidden circuit breaker. The breaker may go bad in time, usually developing resistance, leading to either no power at all or significant voltage drop, due to the breaker's contacts breaking down. This can cause all sorts of weird electrical problem, such as poor or no battery charging.Larry

I'm envious of my friend with an old Chinook, which came with professionally drafted electrical schematics that were complete right down to individual wire gauges and colors... and plumbing diagrams similarly detailed. Regrettably, Lazy Daze provides no such documentation."... but its wiring has been extensively modified..."True. And I've documented what I've done (as well as labeling every wire at both ends, which makes a big difference when troubleshooting). But I have no master schematic for the whole coach, sad to say.

I was getting the impression that there were no published schematics for LD. I did find the Circuit Breakers. I was surprised that the B+ runs was so long to the breaker, out the back of the Battery box through the rear Dinette bench, through the floor to the front side of the Battery box to the Breakers. I must say though, the harnesses appear to be nicely bundled. The installer must have been a WWII Military Electrician!Being one of those Mechanical engineers, I like having all of the documentation. Time to put on the Electrical Hat.Rodney
