ease of water pump access in 26.5 MB
Greetings!

I own a 26.5 MB. I know where the water pump is, but it seems *really* hard to access. After removing the velcro panel from under the sink, there is an electrical breaker service panel in the way - there is 2 or 3 inches under that service panel to access things (like the pump).

Do folks remove anything else to access their pump, or do they work around all of the things that seem to be right in the way?

Thanks for the help!

Loosen the screws that holds the brown electrical panel in place and you will be able to carefully pull it out into the hallway a few inches. Now access is much easier.

Then. Get some additional water hose at HD, Lowes, etc., and a few feet of wire and add to the length of the water hose and the electrical wires. Next time, servicing or changing out the pump is really easy.

matt-

I moved ours to under the vanity in the bathroom. It:

1) gave me room to clean up behind the electrical center
2) removed the worry about a water leak near the 120VAC
3) allowed me to insert flexible hoses to reduce transmission of pump noise (Shurflo recommends)

We didn't mind giving up the space under the vanity.

Here's a link to a subset of pictures.
