Ordering the Wrong Stuff Online!
I simply hate ordering the WRONG item using the Internet!  Dang I hate doing that.  Drives me nuts to say the least.  Initially, I'm so pleased with myself that I found the correct item, ordered it (most of the time less expensively & with free shipping) and then have it delivered to the front door instead of the "old fashion" way of shopping.   Then only to discovered that I ordered the wrong item!  So much for the ease of ordering online.

So now I'm asking DW to not only proof read my important emails but to proof my online orders.  How did I get to this age with such a long list of disabilities???

Well we can't have everything. At least that's what they say. Standing in line at the bank a few minutes ago, I was reading (hah!) a sign across from me next to the clerk. Almost deciphered the fog, when I was awaken by, "Hi Kent. I can help you now". Drat! I so wanted to read that notice about whatever it was.

I have been mostly successful ordering things on line, though (mostly). Although I sometimes take a chance that I'm getting what I need when the final bid is so low (I love a good surprise now and then).

At my age, I can use the adrenalin rush that comes with winning (or not) the bid on eBay. The heck with the consequences. I can afford a $1.95 with free shipping.

Oops! There's eBay now. Gotta go.

I could not handle the red tape of having my wife review my online orders. So much explaining and rationalizing. Better to send things back, which is remarkably easy with Amazon.

Getting off-topic - Amazon has a new definition of  One-Day Shipping. I ordered on Friday, it will be delivered Tuesday.

Just be grateful you didn't order it day before yesterday. It wouldn't show up til Wednesday. That's a 5 day one day delivery. At least it's free...right?

Actually, we've received Amazon orders on Sunday.  And I just ordered something yesterday that is to be delivered tomorrow, a holiday.

Linda,

Now that you mention it I do remember my DW receiving Amazon orders on Sunday's.

Private enterprise...ya gotta love it.

Now if they could just put an astronaut on the moon. Wouldn't that be something?

The remarkable thing about Amazon Sunday deliveries I have received is that they were delivered by the USPS. Not UPS.

Just when I was sure everything about government and quasi government is bad, the post-person shows up on a Sunday morning whistling up my drive with a package. Life can be so confusing, so I generally ignore all facts contradictory to my carefully preconceived anti government opinions. Makes my witty observations more colorful.  ;)
