Air conditioning in rear of Lazy Daze
If I am correct, LD does not have ducted A/C.  I wonder if there is a problem getting the back part of the 27 mid bath cool.  If there is, is that why others chose the rear bath model as they sleep right under the A/C?

Funpilot,

As RB owners, our preferred sleeping accommodations are on the two sofas pulled partially out leaving  a pathway between them (nice for that midnight dash to the restroom).

We generally don't run the AC once the lights go out. Even in the hottest days, we run the AC until nine and the shut it down. We open the top vents and circulate the cool night air.

Regarding the AC itself, it has five vents that can be opened/closed to direct the air flow. For us it's toward the dinette, kitchen, forward, rearward or directly down. Closing several AC vents increases air flow toward the opened vents.

If one chooses to make the dinette into the bed then the AC can really chill you out as it is practically right overhead.

We carry a 20" box fan to help circulate air. Ours is 110 volt (shore power) but there are 12 volt fans available. Fans are a great addition during summer travels for us. I pack it away in the shower during travels or not in use. Wrapped up in its own little blankie.

The open floor plan of the RB makes cooling the coach a breeze. Closing off the bath area helps as well. During cooler travels I angle the closet door to deflect the furnace vent which is just inside the bath area. This helps to keep the front coach area nice and toasty.

All-in-all the RB has been a perfect fit for us.

Hope this helps.

Not in my previous experience with two MB's.

The vents on the A/C  unit are adjustable and directional. Simply point them where you want the air to blow the hardest.

Is there any problem for AC with closing off either the front or rear vents while it's on?  Risk overheating or whatever?  I've found a quick way to cool down rear of my MB on a hot muggy day is to close off hall with bath door & close front AC vent.

No but if you ever want to do a practice inspection I'm willing to meet with you. There are some issues that have developed over time that I have taken care of.  Like cracks in the plastic exterior corner trim. I have taped the roof but before it leaked.  If you haven't looked at one up close and are not going to the NELD get to gather it is worth doing.
