Introducting our new 2016 Lazy Daze Twin King 24
Well, we finally took delivery of our new Lazy Daze TK (on July 29 - about 9 months since placing the order), and we couldn't be happier with the design, features and craftsmanship. Here's a quick report. (I attached a few pics taken on our trip back from the LD factory... the temps hit 113 degrees but the AC was up to it, so no problem.)

When you're shopping for a new rig, and new to Lazy Daze, it's hard to tell from the LD website exactly what you're going to get in terms of components, fit and finish. So, we're delighted to keep finding impressive details, such as....

I installed the new license plates and found that the bolts and acorn nuts for attaching it are stainless steel (rustproof and expensive). I then took a magnet and found that all the screws holding on the rear lights are stainless, too (stainless doesn't attract a magnet). Beneath the shower pan and inside the under-sink cabinet is carpeted. There are two 12-V always-on outlets in the dash so I and my wife can charge our cellphones simultaneously. The oversize rocker switches throughout are easy to see and use, labeled, and seemingly indestructible. The cubbies behind the TV for the DVD player, DVD collection, remote are labeled, too. Almost every window slides open. The Venetian blind over the kitchen counter is anchored on the ends so as not to swing and rattle while driving. You get sun shades for the three giant rear windows and you also get blackout shades. A hidden LED illuminates the ground at the entry step when you open the door at night. An LED night light shines on the floor. The Sony stereo in the dash uses the house batteries, plays throughout the house and has a remote control. There are Moen faucets, a porcelain commode, Michelin tires, LED lighting throughout.

We had worried about the cabover when driving because we're used to driving a Roadtrek Sprinter with its flat front and windows. We thought we might miss the commanding view. We discovered that the view is fine. Plus, the cabover blocks a lot of the sunlight and glare. You can leave maps on the dash and hot have them reflect up onto the windshield. It seemed to stay cooler in the cab. We did notice that the road stripes reflect off the underside of the cabover but it's not bothersome.

We already installed the passenger side seat swivel thanks to the instructions on this forum (I had ordered it already). So, we're ready to head out for our first short trip and look forward to enjoying the luxury of a Lazy Daze. Many thanks for all the advice that helped us choose Lazy Daze in the first place. We'll be chiming in from time to time as we go from newbies to veterans,

PS: Checkout how it fits nicely next to our house in the same spot the 20-foot Roadtrek fit (photo). We were concerned it wouldn't fit because we can't leave it on the street. But, it fits fine and isn't even difficult to back into place.

We own an 2011 TK - same color as yours. 36K miles. We are very satisfied, although I would like to have the new MCDs.

Nicely done. It's nice to have the rig right next to the homestead. Comforting in more was than one.

As you get used to your new LD, you will find even more reasons to love it.

Congratulations.

Congratulations on the new mobil camping glamor camp (to remember another thread).  Best wishes for fair weather and fun adventures. And it is nice to know that even if the weather is less than fair your shelter is up for the adventure.

Nice looking rig. There should be quite a bit more room to move around in compared to a Roadtrek. Also good to know the coach speakers are a standard LD upgrade, I always assumed the previous owner added those to our '99 RB. It's a small detail but one I really enjoy. We added a portable satellite radio that can be moved inside to a docking station when we are in S+B. (Best Buy installed for us).

Congats.    Enjoy your many adventures.  Please share them with us.  IMHO the only thing better then being there is listening  to them that have.
