Coach door squeeks
Earlier this year there was some conversation about solving a rattling entry door. So far i have not been able to locate those posts so i would appreciate suggestions on how to solve the issue. Thanks, Ian, 27MB, Seattle

One non-intuitive thing you might try is to tighten the bolts for the entry step. Don't know why,Mobutu doing that dramatically reduced the noise from the door!

I find almost every LD's entry step has loose mounting bolts.
The bolts are carriage head and pass through the wood floor. The wood compresses and allow the bolts to loosen.
Add tightening the step's four 9/16" nuts to the yearly maintenance.

I am glad I read this!!!
I thought that my step was a little soft but thought that was normal.  I crawled under and found three  loose nuts and the fourth nut and lock washer gone.  I retightened the three and replaced the fourth one and the step is no longer loose.  I have crawled all around and all under my 98 26-MB yet never thought to check the step, the item we probably use more then any other or at least the first thing you use to enter the RV...   There is definatly Gems of information here and Thanks to Everyone who has Contributed!!!

Three (3) of our step bolts needed a 1/4" to 1/2" turn to tighten.  As Larry suggested, this item is now on our annual maintenance schedule.  Thank you Larry for this guidance.
