Extreme 5.7 water pump
Yes, I still have mine.  :D  I had two fail in the first two years but this one is on year 10. Last year it started cycling funny; a couple of aborted efforts to get going and then fine after that. It continues to do so this year so I'm thinking I better carry a backup so I'm not stuck somewhere wild when it gives its last gasp.

I see that Shurflo says their 4048 is the replacement. Agreed here? Anyone have any other ideas? The 4048 is $126 at Amazon today while usually $150 so I may need to jump on it.

Thanks, Dave

The 5.7 was my all time favorite pump; when it worked. I went through three of them with my '08 MB. until Shurflo stopped supplying new ones. I got so good at swapping out pumps, I could do it in ten minutes, or so.
The current Lazy Daze pump is a real wimp in comparison.
Once this one dies, I'm going to upgrade to a higher flow unit.

My 2 cents.

Dave, yes, the Shurflo Revolution series is a good choice. That said, it's only a pump and there are a lot of brands at a lot of prices. You can buy one marketed to the RV market or one sold for farm use. Same pump.

I have always carried a spare. It seems to keep the one hooked up working. It comes in handy for pumping water from containers into the water tank when boon docking in places like Utah. Or for washing the Jeep while parked in a stream bed. Yeah, we are odd.

I have two Shurflo 5.7 Extreme water pumps, brand new and in the box, I would be willing to sell. I got these directly from Pentair, the parent company of Shurlo. Long story of how I got them, but I was one of the early testers of the Revolution series of water pumps.

We are currently on the road but will be home by 6/25, if anybody is interested in an Extreme 5.7 pump.
