"As I can testify from experience. But on the other hand, a temperature sensor mounted under the rear bumper will show higher than ambient temperatures when the sun is shining on the back of the coach. To belabor the obvious, there just is no ideal location.
Re: Outside temperture Reply #26 – November 02, 2016, 07:44:57 pm Our rig did not come with a clock that had outside temp readings but we have replaced the old one with one that does. When the rare need arises for us to have our sewer hose hooked up full time I often use vinyl home rain gutter to route and support the hose. The two pieces of gutter are hung inside the rear skid plates when not in use. We velcro the outside sensor inside the gutter near the passenger side skid plate. When the gutter is in use we leave the sensor in the skid plate.It seems to work reasonably well but I still believe when the sun is shining on the back of the rig it is registering a higher temp than we are actually experiencing.
