Unless things had changed, our '02 MB had 3" bayonet gate valves with T handles. The black tank was just in front of the driver side rear duallies and the grey tank just behind the duallies.

Alfred,

Hope that video makes it easier to understand. I would add one thing. If you notice the end of the video, it appears that the demonstrator neglected to put the drain cover back on the black/gray water drain.

Common mistake, but could end with an unpleasant result.

I agree with Art on the location of the 2 dump valves. The how is to connect a sewer hose to the black tank, making sure it is about 3/4 full before you pull the T-Handle. You may want to fill the black tank a second time with a small hose that is used just for sewer related jobs (not the city water hose). Run the hose through the bathroom window and into the toilet (turn off the water pump or city water). The second flush will remove more of the solids. Close the black tank valve. Then fill the black tank with 3-4 toilet bowls of water. Some folks add various types of additives to help break down future deposits. Some of the additives are reported to help control black tank odors.

Remove the sewer hose and connect it to the gray tank dump valve. Pull the T-Handle and release the gray water, which will help clean the sewer hose. Leave the gray tank empty, close the valve, and store the sewer hose. I'd suggest connecting the two (2) ends of the sewer hose together to control odors or drips from the hose into the LD storage compartment.

And that's what I know about that ... hopefully not missing many steps.
