Battery electric system issue
Yahoo Message Number: 158964
I need help figuring out what is going on in my 2001 MB.
I Had the generator tuned by local RV dealer/service center after I noticed surging. Brought it home and discovered it was still surging under load. Before taking it back I wanted to test it further so drove to get gas as the tank was edging towards the generator cut off point.
When I got home and parked, I tried to turn on the generator only to find the house batteries were not charged. I turned the engine back on and let the motor idle to bring up the batteries...as soon as I turned it off, they went flat again. I checked the battery compartment and everything looks clean and firmly attached. I now have it plugged into a 30 amp outlet to let it charge over night.
I was not able to start the generator at all, even with the truck engine idling, and the read out panel indicating a charged set of house batteries. It seems like the batteries won't take a charge although they were working fine a few days ago.
I would appreciate any suggestions as to what might be going on.
Thanks,

Bonnie Jacobs 2001 MB
