Anyone else having water leak during heavy rain while stationary?
After snugging up the 3 hold down bolts, still leaking. Prior LD ac had 4  hold down bolts.

where are you seeing the water leaking exactly?  Right next to A/C internal shroud or away from it?

Hello Bill,
The water drips out from the openings at the left front corner beneath the air filter.

I had the very same problem where water would leak through the A/C.  Solution for me was to not let water accumulate on the roof.  Don't try to be perfectly level. That way the water will run off and not accumulate on the roof and possibly run thru your A/C.
I had that problem in a storm on CA once.  I am now in Oregon where it rains almost constantly and never had a leak.

Exactly Jim, there are one more than one low place on every LD roof. If you store it close to level, water will come in someplace, sometime. It takes 6 inches under the front wheels for all the pockets on our roof to drain. Don't guess, go up and check the roof after a rain shower.

If you have water coming in on a daily basis, you have more than a pin hole leak. Someone needs to get up on the roof, figure it out and seal it with Eternabond, Dicor, etc.

Low milage LD's should be suspected of being parked in one place for long periods and that fact should lead to serious investigation for leaks.

While this may prevent or reduce leaks, when stored, this is not a real solution, the problem still exist, A well sealed roof will not leak, even in heavy downpours.
Do you want to park your rig on a angle whenever it rains while you are camping?

Any leak needs investigation and a cure before the wood framing becomes damaged.
A/C leaks happen. The foam rubber seal the is glue to the roof, between the roof and A/C may have developed a hole or the glue may have failed.
The A/C covers get brittle in sunlight and may have a crack that is allowing water to enter the housing.
If the A/C's evaporator drains are plugged, water may be getting in and overflowing the evaporator's case.

There are many possibilities for leaks. I have found pin pinhole leaks in the roof's sheet metal, caused by who knows what.
I drop any ceiling light fixture in the area of the leak and stick my finger up into the roof cavity, feeling for moisture. Inside of overhead cabinets, have drilled 1/2" holes in the ceiling, also used for finding the direction and location of a leak. The holes are covered afterwards with a matching tape.
Water can migrate long distances inside the ceiling paneling, leading you to look in the wrong area.

Don't sit by and hope this problem will pass, you may be sorry if you do.

I found this older post, and it seems to describe the same situation that we experienced last week while in the CA desert during an epic all-day rain storm.   We had not previously used the heat pump feature, and after it ran for about an hour, a slow drip started in the air filter area on the right side of the unit as you face forward on the coach.  I thought that maybe the leak was some type of condensation issue relative to operating the heat pump for a long period of time with high humidity conditions during a rain storm.   We have previously used the air conditioner many times on the "cool" setting, and have not noticed any leaks.   Also, we have camped in rainy weather a few times, and don't recall any leaks.    However, we were not using the AC or the heat pump on those occasions, and I don't think the rainfall was as heavy as what we just experienced last week.

My take-away from Larry W comments is that any leaking in/near the AC unit is likely a result of a pin hole, casing crack or other exterior issue, and is likely not from accumulated condensation from running the heat pump.

Any other thoughts or ideas are welcomed.

The A/C, in heat mode, is not a heat pump, the heat is provided by a resistive heating coil. it's an electric heater.
If you had a leak, it was real, not condensation .
