261/2 MB 1999 June 01, 2015, 12:09:11 pm Yahoo Message Number: 153105I am considering purchasing a 261/2 MB. for $22,5001999, 26 1/2 mid bath, sleeps up to 6. was just serviced, dash a/c just serviced with new Freon ( blows ice cold), new house batteries, tires were bought in the last 2 years and in good shape . It is in excellent condition inside and everything works great. It also has an upgraded stereo . 20K miles on engine 3rd Owner. One Broken window in the back.I am having a hard time pricing this the NADA prices it at $18,000 to $20,025.and Andy's guide prices it around $20,500. Given the mile and defect is it worth the $22500? given it has had 3 owners and the new owner has only had the RV for 2 years.Called LD asking them if they would do an pre-sale inspection. They said they rather not. Its a used product if they inspect something and goes out the next day they don't want the liability.Any suggestions? do you know of someone that can do an inspection for me? I am in Orange County , California

Re: 261/2 MB 1999 Reply #2 – June 01, 2015, 01:07:34 pm Yahoo Message Number: 153107I have a 2002 27ft MB like new with just 14,000 miles on it. my e-mail is tlar711@... , my phone number is 805-320-0349. I'm considering selling at a very reasonable price. This ones got all the "goodies" and if purchesed new would run well over $95K before taxes and Reg. Give me a call if you are interested. Re: 261/2 MB 1999 Reply #3 – June 01, 2015, 01:16:05 pm Yahoo Message Number: 153108I've been running a lot of comps bc we'll be selling our '92RB in the Inland Empire next month. Not easy to price but based on my research I think the $22.5K for that '99 in CA is a fair ask given the very low miles and " excellent" condition that you noted. But I don't know what window replacement would run.

Re: 261/2 MB 1999 Reply #12 – June 02, 2015, 12:27:22 am Yahoo Message Number: 153120Maybe he bought it at a killer price, the original owners may of just lived in it or something and he's selling it to make some money. Id ask why they are selling. Not bad with such low miles. How many hrs on the Generator? Have it checked out and make them an offer..Jo
Re: 261/2 MB 1999 Reply #13 – June 02, 2015, 12:54:06 am Yahoo Message Number: 153121No sure on the generator. The floor was replaced . My guess is to freshen up the inside to match the miles. Boom box style is bolted to rear cabinets . But the bathroom vinyl is coming off

Re: 261/2 MB 1999 Reply #16 – June 02, 2015, 10:08:51 am Yahoo Message Number: 153127Two years ago I purchased a 2001 Lazy Daze that only had 3,000 miles also a mid bath. I paid typical retail price; however, most 2001 Lazy Daze of this age would have had 60,000 miles. So like the RV you are considering, my purchased RV had sat unused for may years. Prior to purchase the belts, batteries,4 tires, generator service, and a few other things were taken care of.LarryW recommended a comprehensive hit list of additional items I should take care which cost $1200 range to bring my RV back to life. I'd recommend this list of maintenance steps if you purchase. Some folks expressed concern as RVs are meant to be used and not sit so long unused. I too felt I was taking some risk. However, so far I've experienced no problems and this RV and it has been a pure delight to own. It's not just about the condition of engine and outside mechanicals because such a low mileage RV will likely be in really good shape on the inside. In my case the inside truly felt new (pretty sure bathroom and stove were never used). I'd just make sure no one lived in it full time which is possible but unlikely. You should be able to determine by inspecting inside.I think a retail range price is more than fair and that this RV has lots of life left in it. At $22K used price you really cannot make too big of a mistake when you consider the depreciation of buying new. But as I found out by this group such an RV is not new and you need to allow funds to recondition. I'd plan on additional $1500 and back window issue assuming tires and battery are already updated. And by all means inspect for additional leverage to get a lower price. But I think you may have found a gem.LarryD

I have put a deposit down and working on a bank check to finish the purchase. An inspection under way and if everything checks out, I guess I will be an owner of a LD.Getting feedback from this group certainly made it easy to make a decision. I wish this gave Stock advise too, then I will be all set.Lazy Daze
