update on browser freeze up with rv park wifi

I have win XP with 500 mb ram. Talked with another camper today with Win 8.1 and a much newer computer who is having the same problem. Also talked with park owner who has 12 gig ram having same problem. Seems like the problem must be with the rv park wifi system. I have experienced browser freeze up with

numerous park wifi systems and thus was considering a new computer.

There too many variables to make a  sound judgment.   Any modern system ... Including window XP should have no speed issues with any medium to strong WiFi signal.  My first thoughts would be weak signal or too weak a receiver on your computer system.  Many inexpensive  Windows system do not have  very robust WiFi  components.
If all you do is web surf and do email may be a Chrome Book or equivalent may be a good bet.
