Hi All,

I just got done waxing my 23.5 2003 FL. I am the 3rd owner and the previous owners didn't seem to care much for wax. Red Sky is more like Raspberry Sky. Not being a full timer I want to protect what is left of the paint. I am interested in buying a cover for my LD. Any suggestions, I live is Southern California, thanks in advanced.

Sort of like closing the barn door once the horses are gone.
The red paint LD uses, at least on older models, does not hold up to exposure to sunlight.
Your rig's paint is 12 years old and most likely has little red paint left to protect, no matter what the previous owner did or did not do. Red is by far LD's worse color for durability, with silver coming in second..
Not sure if the hassle of using a cover is going to provide much value other than helping to keep it clean.

Using a cover years ago, I was almost blown off the top of the LD when a gust of wind hit the partially installed cover. That was it for me, having no wish to die.
Covers can also cause problems if the rig isn't perfectly clean when the cover is installed, as dirt under the cover will act like sandpaper when the wind blows the cover around.

We just washed and hand waxed our new to us as of last year '96 red and cream. It is what it is, but we have protected it a little longer. We are several shades of red from very bright red on the lower panels to a faded sort of pinky red on the hood. She bears her age with dignity! My worry is that I see white on the front fenders from stones hitting them. Not sure how to handle it other than a whole new paint job on those fenders.

Steve,

I have a brand new, never been opened ADCO Class-C cover for sale. ADCO said this model fits 23'-26' Class-C motorhomes, which makes sense, it came with our 23.5 TK. It's made from a light grey cloth. $200 takes it away.

Steve,

Not sure if our last message went through, but anyway, seen your posting, we have a brand new, still in the wrapper, ADCO cloth RV cover.  It fits a 23'-26' Class-C motorhome.  $200. takes it home.  We're located in San Marcos.
