Ian and Jean; You won't need a roadside assistance policy. The new  motorhome comes with a 5 year, or 60,000 mile policy good for running out of  gas, lockout, tire problems, drivetrain and other chassis problems. I used the  towing courtesy of Ford when my rig was a year or so old. They have a 24/7 phone  number for any questions. I used the call center to arrange the tow. Enjoy your  new Midbath. RonB

Thanks Ron! I was thinking about Coachnet for roadside assistance but now it seems i won't have to.  Ian

---- Certainly a personal choice, but note that the towing policy with Ford's "comes with the new vehicle" is good for the "nearest" Ford dealership within 35 miles, while Coach-Net's "Basic" plan provides for unlimited towing , i.e., "No mileage or dollar amount limits - no out of pocket expense when towing your disabled vehicle to the nearest qualified repair facility."

As ever, YMMV.

I ran into this very thing several years ago. Called Ford for flat repair but was told that due to distance from the service provider I would be responsible for $50 of the cost.

---- This "gotcha" is why I carry an additional, separate emergency road service policy. Like many, I travel long distances, often in remote areas, where there is *no* service within 35 miles, let alone a Ford dealer, so I want/need a policy that offers unlimited tow distances and a reasonable "choice" of where the guy eventually drops the rig.

The only kicker is needing service where there's no cell coverage! ;-)
