Replacing the Converter - a DIY Job for a Novice? February 26, 2015, 05:59:50 am Yahoo Message Number: 151350Hi AllI had a little battery scare - everything was fine till I plugged into shore power for a week, then the batteries didn't seem to want to charge or hold a charge. After topping up the water and taking a couple little mini trips, they seem just find now. Since then I've been researching possible causes and solutions, and it looks like I might want to upgrade my converter from a Magneteck to a Progressive Dynamics of some sort, which seems to be the favorite. Two questions - is this a job for someone with basic repair skills but little experience with electrics and which Converter would best suit my 2000 30' Lazy Daze? Many thanks Pat

A wrong connection can cause serious problems. Many converters require changing the 12-volt fuse panel, lots of fun if you have never done it before.Larry
