Thinking about carrying a spare water pump? I just noticed that Amazon is offering this:

SHURflo 4008-101-E65 3.0 Revolution Water Pump $62.34

This is a very low price for this pump.

If you are running a Revolution 4008 pump always carry a spare. I have seen them fail after 1.5 years. Others are 5 years old and still going strong. If you boon dock having a spare water pump and the tools to replace it is mandatory. Lots of spares to carry fuses, gaskets, candles, spare water, etc. But a must for the experienced RV'er that learned the hard way.

I second the suggestion that you carry a spare water pump.  I always have done that.  If you still have one of the older Shurflo 5.7 gpm variable speed units you might want 2 spares.  I swapped out my 5.7 unit 4 times in campgrounds.  After the second swap I modified the pump connections and mounting to make the swap task easier.
