Just developed pull to the left in steering
Yahoo Message Number: 149306
Hi LD'ers, I al in the middle of northern Kansas driving on 36, the old Pony Express trail and my LD ha developed a strong pull to the left. If I take my hands off the wheel, it cuts left immediately.
I'm on the way to Denver where I'm sure there is a ford facility, but in the meantime, any advice, should I be worried? This is as close to the middle of nowhere as you'd want to be.
Thanks,

Bonnie

I forgot to mention, tires are new this year and Ford just completed a thorough 90 point inspection and maintenance including re-lining the  the rear brakes.
I will check air pressure at next place we can pull off.

The "hard pull" could be the result of a sticking brake caliper; that would be the first thing I'd have checked. If the shop does find that the calipers are "dry" and sticking, be sure to have them lubed!

Please post when you diagnose the problem.

Problem solved...my partner took the keys out of the tow vehicle at the last stop and forgot to put them back. We discovered when we were able to stop and check tire pressure as I checked ALL the tires and the toads left front was hot and had abnormally high pressure. The steering is now back to normal.
Thanks for the quick response Best,

Bonnie
