Question on practical use of the awning.
Yahoo Message Number: 146409
We finally opened and used the awning on our new-to-us 1989 26' RB and luckily were at home when we did so. While we got it to open just fine, and it appears to be in excellent rarely-used condition, closing it was a little challenging. It rolled up just fine and snapped back into place, but short of getting out a 5' ladder to put the metal frame back in place, I'm not sure how we'd have done it. We don't really have room to carry around a ladder that large for camping. How do others do it? Is there a trick to manipulating the closure system from the ground that I just haven't figured out? Our rig came with a helpful pull hook to extend the awning and another pole with a point on it. I couldn't determine the use for that latter. Wish there were an idiots-guide-to-using-and-stowing-your-Lazy-Daze-awning YouTube video as I suspect it's not nearly as complicated as it seems now.

Pound it a couple of times with the back side of the awning pole and it should snap right back in to place. david
