Side door latch pulled out of door
Yahoo Message Number: 145968
The metal door latch on the side door was pulled out of the door and was left gripped by it's counter part on the coach body. It left me with two screw holes in the door. I believe the PO had replaced some or all of the latch just before I purchased it in 2009. My latch is almost level with the side door handle, not at the top of the door like on some other model years.

What would I use to fill the holes and screw the latch back onto door. I want to plug the holes but I'm leery that once weakened It may happen again down the road.

Thanks Ed 2001 RK

You might try a "Well Nut". Go to your hardware store and ask for them. They are a rubber insert with a collar and threaded insert built inside. Similar to a "Moly", they expand on the back side, and are pretty short and strong. They come in different diameters and depths. They are easy to remove, unlike some Moly's.
