There are campgrounds in Rocky Mountain National Park, and commercial ones in the Estes Park area.Many of the campgrounds in Roosevelt NF will probably not be open until sometime next month. The closest place to stay is probably the campground at the Boulder County Fairgrounds in Longmont (it's a little bit closer to Boulder than St. Vrain State Park). Other than the options Dale mentioned, there are a couple of places in Golden (a small city campground and Dakota Ridge RV Park).Karen '05 RK

It is a 15 minute drive into Boulder, the nearest camping we could find. http://www.bouldercounty.org/os/events/pages/camping.aspx We were there on the 4th of July and the had front row seats of the fireworks from our campsite, the firing pit was only a 100 yards away.Larry

Reply #5 – April 21, 2014, 06:26:11 pm Yahoo Message Number: 145868The Boulder County Fairgrounds is in Longmont, about a 20 mile drive to Boulder straight up the 119 expressway. They have water/elect, but only a community dump. It's an OK park near shopping. I remember an RV park in Golden which is closer, but don't remember the name. A Google search should work for either park. There's not much in the area to choose from, but for a short stay the Boulder County Fairgrounds would work. Gale
