Anyone in Olympia want to rent a room for a quarter?
Yahoo Message Number: 144005
Hi folks, well, this certainly is not a LD issue, it's just a LD gramdmom issue who has a super duper grandson (Washington Scholar, at the University of Washington, Junior year) who has been selected to serve as a Legislative Intern next quarter, in Olympia, in a state senator's office. He is so excited, and of course, so am I.
The students are responsible for their own housing, and I thought I just might put this out to the NW group - - those of you living in Olympia. If you have an extra room you would consider renting to Andrew, I'd sure feel good about knowing he's in a safe place. The school also provides them with a list of places, so it's not as if he has no resources in the search department. I told him I'd send a query to you guys - - he was appreciative.

The term is early January to mid/late March.
Here's a link to Andrew's Facebook page - - well, I hope it is. Facebook and I have a love-hate relationship, and I have to admit I really don't understand it and usually screw it up . If Yahoo chops it up, it's www dot Facebook dot com forward slash andrew dot blackwood dot 75 https://www.facebook.com/andrew.blackwood.75

And just for fun, I'm including a link to a short interview that a fellow from King 5 TV in Seattle did with Andrew last fall. Those of you who are fans of Harry Potter know his best friend, Ron Weasley. Andrew bears enough resemblance to this character that when I took him to Europe a couple of years ago, the teenyboppers would cluster close to us and whisper blah blah balh Ron Weasley and giggle giggle giggle. It was fun grabbing Andrew by the arm and saying, 'Ron, let's get out of here!'. Of course, he didn't think it was as funny as I did.

I'm definitely heading to the Northwest this spring - - hope to see many of you. MZ Daisy is getting itchy feet/tires.

Happy trails, Sarah B 505-263-8889
