Scissor Jacks/Stabilizers and feedback on East Coast tour November 04, 2013, 07:48:09 pm Yahoo Message Number: 143453Bessie will go into storage tomorrow until Spring - we had a great trip from Mn to Maine and down the coast. Roads are in good shape out East. Even in the most populated areas, it was easy to boondock at WM or Casinos, although we only do that about 1-2 nights/week.We're compiling a wish list for the Spring... At the top is to install or purchase some type of stabilizer system for longer stays we think we'd like the more solid feel. We don't need levelers as the blocks work fine and are easy to set up. Would like to get more info from LD'ers who have done this. Could you recommend a specific brand, and tell me how they get installed? I don't they will add much weight, am I correct?Todd + Steve '99 RB and '02 HOnda CRV

They worked well but I have no idea of how well they have held up, try contacting him.Something like these should also work. . http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/bal-telescopic-stabilizing-jack-24-leg/5724 http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/economy-rear-electric-stabilizer/64875 Even something simple like this will stop most of the the rocking. It doesn't take a lot of support. http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/universal-rv-stabilizer/34337 The biggest problem with any of the stabilizers is finding the right place to mount them.Larry
