I don't know exactly what the scam is but as I suspected its a scam. My first clue was the bad grammar. The second clue was when I got a similar email the same week. I'm embarrassed to admit I got taken for 2k on a craigslist scam trying to buy a car 2 years ago. But it was hard lesson learned. Anyone who says they are in the military, have a pregnant wife, out of state, country....Beware....! If say they can't meet you in person, it's most likely a scam. DO NOT exchange information of any kind with those that can't meet with you.

There was a link in a craigslist ad to a fully functioning fake Ebay site. I've been using ebay for years and I know my way around it very well. They did an excellent job. The web address was www.ebay.com-something or other. I saw the www.ebay.com and thought I was at the real site....until he didn't show up from Quantico to meet with me in "our" home state. So watch those urls too.
