Another New Lazy Daze Owner September 20, 2013, 06:43:21 pm Yahoo Message Number: 142801Hi everyone! After a lot of searching and countlessly looking over plans our family is finally purchasing our first LD. Our new unit is a 1994 23.5 Rear T/K! My wife and myself as we'll as our two boys (six and seven) can't wait to start our adventures. Thanks for all the advice regarding layouts in both responses to my questions as well as the past files regarding models. This greatly helped our search and soon maybe we will be able to help as well instead of being helped. Also, a special thanks to Tessa for her recent post as it really meant a lot and gave us the boost that we needed to move forward. Our boys are young and making memories now is priceless. We are having the rv shipped to us in Illinois, so it will be a little while, but we are very excited! Thanks again for everything, Paul and Jennifer

I have a strong feeling that when you look back in a dozen years, you are going to be SO HAPPY that you made the leap. Not only have you got the world in front of you to explore, but your terrific-sized RV is going to be useful for everyday fun like overnighting at Swim Team competitions so you can be ready for 5am warmups, hanging out at all-day soccer tournaments in great comfort, and as a personal party limo for your kids' school parties with their friends. SOOO many fun times ahead of you! Yahoo! Please keep us posted and enjoy the journey!Congratulations to ALL our new-to-you LD owners!! As my Ned says, "If you're going to have a older RV, it'd better be a Lazy Daze." So well-made and they just go and go!To your great adventures! Tessa in TX '92 MB- Ciao Baby!--- wrote:
Re: Another New Lazy Daze Owner Reply #8 – September 26, 2013, 08:39:01 pm Yahoo Message Number: 142885Hi Tessa, thanks so much and we are soooo excited! I am actually flying out tomorrow to pick up our new to us LD. Us as we'll as our boys are looking forward to many adventures as well as many more memories. Just a little history, our daughter is now twenty and we started with tents to a pop up, graduated to a pull behind and eventually to a fifth wheel. The time we spent together was priceless. Our two boys are now at an age that we feel they are ready for camping, so here we are. Our middle child is seven and I have been tent camping with him quite a bit. Our youngest is six and has Down Syndrome and we have been awaiting until he and we are ready (he is quite an escape artist). We have been looking for most of the summer as we know that we are ready to enjoy our next step together as a family. Thanks again to everyone for all of your advice and we are confident that we made the right choice regarding our unit. Actually, we are thinking of naming her Baby Bleu. Thanks again, Paul and Jennifer

Re: Another New Lazy Daze Owner Reply #10 – September 28, 2013, 12:52:42 am Yahoo Message Number: 142899Hi Bill, I just flew in today and am now on my way home. I did not see the message until now, so I am sorry but I did not see your unit. The owner that we bought from is ninety six, picked me up at the airport, took me to lunch and went through and explained the entire unit to me. He and his wife purchased the unit new and was their second LD as their first was an eighties model. His wife passed a little less than a year ago and he only wished that we have as much fun as they did. The boys are super excited as well as my wife and I to get the unit home. This unit is better than I expected and the size will be a perfect fit for us. Thanks so much again for all the help, Paul and Jennifer

Re: Another New Lazy Daze Owner Reply #17 – October 07, 2013, 07:30:21 pm Yahoo Message Number: 143047Hi everyone! Our new to us LD made it home with absolutely no problems at all. I had actually never been out that far west and this was an adventure in and of itself. What beautiful country! We now have the unit loaded and the only thing missing is us and the food. We will be heading out on our first family trip this weekend. Again, thanks for the advice and the wonderful tools for research as we are now sure that the T/K is perfect for us. We had never seen an LD before in person and we are sure glad that we decided upon this. The previous owner has kept in touch on the trip home and now that the unit is now at her new home. My wife and the boys are super excited! Thanks again, Paul
Re: Another New Lazy Daze Owner Reply #18 – October 08, 2013, 11:42:52 am Yahoo Message Number: 143053Coming from a camping background, like us, you're going to love the ease of use and overall convenience of having a small rig. We've got our basic preparation & setup procedures so wired we can split on a whim. That's what happened this weekend when we jumped on a last minute cancellation just for the heck of it. As a result, we spent the weekend around 1 mile from our house @ Sunset Vista in HB What was really remarkable about this particular experience was how tiny our 1993 22' MP looked amongst the huge class As, monster 5th wheels, and generic class Cs. In fact, I think the only smaller vehicle was a small, pop-up tent trailer. Sure enough, as it seems to happen every place we go, some curious people came by to ask a few questions, always with an envious look in their eyes. And what was their main impression? They were looking for a smaller rig, as they had recently gotten rid of their class A. The one thing you're gonna want to do, however, is research how to button up your rig against water intrusion. Larry has all sorts of informative posts & links. If you seal that sucker off to the point that nothing can get in, then the coach should last as long as the underlying chassis still runs. We've gone through all of that, and we're now to the point of thinking we're gonna keep this thing until it dies - perhaps 10+ years. It runs so well, and the cost of ownership is so low, that it's practically a 'free' RV at this point.Happy trails.
