I know, there have been MANY of these threads on here, but I have one I haven't seen. I wish that they would NOT put that calking (sealant) on the roof ! After working a couple of days trying to get it off, then an hour putting down Eternabond, I see no reason for it, either from an economics, or practical stand point.
Wonder if I could order one without the calk...just leave the stuff off, I'd rather do it myself ! I know, I would eat the roof warrantee, that would be OK with me !
Back in 04 I wanted to order a MB without the dinette....no way. Others around the same time tried to get them to leave out the canoe curtain....no way. What is the chance they'd leave off the crap...no way !

They won't. But, removing the polyurethane sealant is unnecessary before applying Eternabond. Simply cleaning well with acetone and alcohol is sufficient.
