Ready To Order Propane Detector Replacement

I was reading Amazon.com reviews of the  MTI Industries 12 volt replacement units.
Some folks received "new" units which had expiration dates that were already two years old (out of a 5 year life span).   For you folks who have ordered from Amazon, could you tell me how I can request a new - fresh unit with a five year expiration date expectancy?    I am not sure how to contact the company that does the mailing of these units.    I will be paying $53 +  for this unit.   I love this group.    Thanks, Beth
