SD route suggestions

Linda--just wanted to say thanks for the information on the various routes suggested by Google maps. I took your advice, and did the "US 26E" route. There is a LOT between those two [80/US26E].....but that's the way Google gave me as choices--just the basic 80 all the way, 80 to 90, and 80 to US 26E.

I thoroughly LOVED this route! Fantastic views, scenery, and I preferred the slower pace...just cruised along at the slowest speed so I could enjoy what I was seeing roll by me.
The Teton pass was a bit steep, but just took my time in low gear..up and down..no worries. The Idaho Falls end w/the Snake River Canyons and vistas, then up thru Targhee Park, then the Tetons, and Jackson Hole on...magnificent!

One of these days when I have more time, I want to stop and spend awhile in all those places...so beautiful!
Almost to Sturgis...been accompanied by the constant sound of passing Harleys all the way...grin..this could prove interesting trying to get to the Courthouse for the Dr. Lic. renewal.  But have always wanted to see Sturgis during the GTG there...sooooo??

Anyway, thanks again for taking the time to respond so in-depth...MUCH appreciated!
