Is 1974 MB300 the same as a B300? April 08, 2013, 09:36:18 pm Yahoo Message Number: 138140Dear List,Recently acquired a 1974 Lazy Daze RV. It is having charging issues and needs a new alternator. The origian 'delivery' receipt from Lazy Daze identifies it as a 1974 MB300. However, most part stores don't have parts/alternator listed for an 'MB300' -- Is it the same as a B300?Thanks!Andrew

Short of that what you really need is the information on the chassis, not the LD itself; manufacturer, model, year, etc. Having the VIN is also a good idea particularly if the manufacturer made changes during the model year.I had a similar "alternator matching" problem with an old Chevie and toted in the broken alternator. The parts man just took the model number off the alternator and looked up the part numbers for replacement unitsDoug.[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
