In January we had AM Solar install a 500W solar system (five 100W panels) with a 2000 W inverter on our 1999 MB. We went with four 6V 220 amp hour AGMs--two in the battery compartment and two under the fridge--which yields 440 amp hours at 12 volts. We can run computers all day until 10 or 11 PM (including a 27" iMac), then run the furnace in the morning, and never dip below 80%. Since we paired the batteries, 6 volt AGMs worked fine.

We've been very happy with the work AM Solar did for us.

Is that 255 Ah at 6V or at 12V, Paul?
