Black Diamond Apollo LED Lantern March 16, 2013, 11:58:03 pm Yahoo Message Number: 137419Some of the folks at Morro Bay were asking about this lantern: It is available on Amazon at http://tinyurl.com/aze6rxs. The light is compact, bright enough to light up a picnic table at night, but also dim-able. It takes 4 AA batteries, but you can use rechargeables. You can get an optional kit to recharge batteries right inside the lantern. Black Diamond makes several other sizes, but this is my favorite (though the bigger Titan does look tempting!)-Don

Re: Black Diamond Apollo LED Lantern Reply #4 – March 17, 2013, 12:18:35 pm Yahoo Message Number: 137432Yes. The lantern on a table is high enough not to produce a shadow and still allow you to tilt a book to a comfortable angle. You probably want to be within a foot or two for extended reading.Don
