Our first year. Some pictures and comments.
Yahoo Message Number: 136927
Just over a year ago Gina and I bought a new to us Midbath. Below are a few pictures of the adventures, places and events that happened in or with the RV in our first year of ownership. I've commented on most of the pictures. The comment feature is open for others - but I can delete.
There were camping trips that were not included.  One or both of us spent around 50 nights or so using the RV our first year. Not bad considering I was working. That does include two major storms where we camped in the driveway to our home, but we decided to count those nights because a hotel in Washington DC in July and in Sept, can be pricey.
I want to thank every one here for helping us get to this point.  We have had a great time.  Here is the link.

"MINIs with the auto or all wheel drive cannot be towed."
Too true! Two summers ago I ran into a couple who had bought a used MINI to tow behind their Fleetwood Bounder motorhome. The salesman at the dealership had assured them that it was fine to tow this auto-transmission car four-down, so they did. Not long afterward, they found themselves facing a $7,000 transmission replacement job. When I met them, they were looking for a used tow dolly. (I found them one on Craigslist, using my iPhone.)

Thanks, Andy,  for reinforcing my thoughts on towing the Mini...You just can't some vehicles without a dolly....we tow our old '97 Honda all wheels down...great car!

We tow our 08 Mini S (it's a manual).  Good tow car, and fun on its own!  I think we installed BlueOx base plate number #7, or some low number like that.
For lights, instead of the wiring kit, we bought a wireless light bar, something like this:

and it has worked very well.

DaMINI is my second Cooper.  After almost 11 years of owning one I still get a kick out of driving it day to day (when I can get the keys away from the wife).  Thanks for the tip on the light rack.
I am thinking of using the Roadmaster kit ( http://www.roadmaster-tow-bars.com/instructions/521876-1.pdf ).  For those of you that tow, I would like comments on the Roadmaster system as opposed to others.
