Reuse Long Tire Valve Stems?

The time as come for me to replace my LD's tires.  When I put the present tires on the coach, I had long Tireman metal valve stems installed.  My question is should these stems be also replaced when the new tires are mounted?  I am wondering about the durability of the rubber seals around the stems.

Metal stems are usually good for many years, unlike all-rubber stems, which get replaced with each new set of tires.
A long as the rubber seals, on the extended stems, look good, go ahead and reuse them.

Linley, my LD has the original long valves that Chuck installed in November, 2003. I have replaced the tires twice since the initial installation, most recently about a month ago (Michelin LTX M/S redux); the valves have remained in the wheels through both tire set changes. Before this last tire set replacement, I called Chuck and asked whether I should replace the valves; he replied that as long as the seals and support grommets were in good shape and there were no leaks, it wasn't necessary.
 The tire shop does have to be careful when dismounting and mounting the tires from the wheels, particularly with the inside dual stem, but the job certainly can be done without removing the valves.
 I suggest removing the !&$$#*@!! wheel covers before heading to the shop, and inspecting the rubber seals and grommets as each wheel comes off; having a shop rag handy to wipe off accumulated road gunk is advised! A good tire shop changes out the valve cores, but I suggest finding out the quality level of the replacements, and, if not suitable, that you bring your own.  Also, remind them to mount the tires with the "information side" out; that way, you won't have to guess at the tire dates later (or crawl under the rig with a strong flashlight trying to see between or on the inside of the duals).
 You'll get away a lot cheaper that I did (or Joe, who had his tires replaced at the same shop the day after I did); Oregon's lack of a sales tax makes a *big* difference! ;-) Good luck.

Tanks all.  I thought that they probably could be reused but finding out for sure before I hit the tire shop is very useful.
