LD 23.5' with rear dinette floor plan

It seems as though LDs with the rear dinette are fairly rare, at least those advertised used.  It's a configuration we would like because it is short and has a lower bed. Are there also disadvantages we are overlooking to this layout?  Any thoughts/comments appreciated.

Are you referring to the Twin/King floor plan?  If so, I see these points as "advantages" of this model:
 -- The interior layout and large rear and side windows contribute to an "open" feeling.
-- The two rear couches can be left as they are for sleeping (small people/kids), or one can be pulled out for a wider bed, or both couches can be pulled out to form a "king size" bed.
-- The galley counter space is adequate.
-- Depending on one's needs/circumstances, the table can be left down or folded up and latched. (My preference because this position frees walking space between the couches.) -- All 23.5'/24' models offer plenty of CCC.
 Depending on travel styles, numbers of people needing to be "housed", and personal preferences, these points may or may not be "disadvantges" to the TK floorplan:
 -- The large rear windows; in my experience, rear window leaks are more common in TKs and MBs.
-- The bath area is functional, but very small.
-- When the table is in the down position, it can be difficult to reach the upper rear compartment.  Also, if one wants to sit "at the table", the couches (obviously) must be in the regular position, i.e., not pulled out into a wider bed.
-- The water pump is extremely difficult to access and "working space" is very limited.
-- The black tank size has been increased in the last three model years, but if you're considering a pre-2010, the black tank capacity of the TK is 18 gallons; the other 24' floor plans offer considerably larger black tank capacity.

Yes I meant the TK floor plan, thanks Joan.
 You have given us more advantages and most of the disadvantages don't bother us.  We don't have room in our driveway for anything longer and we are small people ;-)
 On a recent camping trip we came across 3 of the TKs in one day. (None of the owners wanted to sell!) We will keep looking.

What is "CCC" and "YMMV"?

I haven't seen any mention of this so maybe I'm the only one who's slightly bothered by the location of the bathroom. The outside door and bathroom door are directly opposite each other. It can create some embarrassing moments :-)

 "YMMV" is "Your Mileage May Vary", or, "What works for one may not for another."

Note that the older models on the Chevy chassis were 22' long. Ford chassis models are 23.5' and 24' long, depending on year. Also, 2003 and newer ones are about 4" wider.
 In our case, we back in, and the rear overhang extends back over a former planter area. Although we originally bought a 22' '83 model for the same reason as you, our current 23.5' '04 one fits fine too, and if I sacrifice some more planter area we would probably be able to fit a 27' model without bashing the house, due to the longer rear overhang. Point is, the object was to be able to get both cars around it and into our garage, and that was not a problem. Where a will, a way.
