Lazy Daze 26 LP gas detector
Yahoo Message Number: 135884
I have a 99 Lazy Daze 26, just purchased as first RV a year ago and enjoying learning the ropes of RV camping..
The lp gas alarm located at floor level below the sink...The Problem is an intermittent chirping ...sometimes with the red low voltage light on ..and sometimes more shrill and louder than others... there does not ever appear to be a gas leak...also possibly related, the house batteries do not hold a charge and I have to start the engine to get the generator cranked.
Advice appreciated.. Need to try and avoid taking it to the dealer if I can.
THANKS.

The symptoms you describe are classic indications of a low battery! That's where I'd start to investigate.
Also, there are other things besides LP gas that will trigger your alarm, such as hair spray, deoderant and many other things in aerosol cans.

John: After you get your batteries in shape you may need to replace the Propane detector, as they have a 5 year life span. The Smoke detector and CO alarms have a 7 year life. Check the date on your units, and replace as necessary for safety.
