He doesn't have an owners manual so can't ID the fuses. Any suggestions are appreciated....river.rd-gmail.com A friend once posted about this on the list: Upon returning to our hometown Santa Paula from a GREAT Death Valley GTG @ the L.D.'s DVD- we disconnected our Jeep Tow Vehicle (@ K-Mart parking lot) & when I got back in our V-10 Ford Rig- I started it up but could not get the Shift lever out of the PARK position to drive off..!! After several attempts, by rocking the unit-key in accessory position-pushing brake pedal...nothing corrected the situation & there we sat- frustrated & immobile..!! I called the Service Mgr @ our local Ford Agency, who had no idea how to solve our predicament- but he brought his "Tech" mechanic to the phone (Thank Goodness for Cell Phones) & he talked & walked me through the following bypass proceedure to get out of Park: ____Put the key into the ignition ____Turn it forward(clockwise) to the position where the instrument lights come on... ____Back the key off one position (counter clockwise) & the shift lever frees & will allow going into Neutral & start the engine & shift further into D & Drive Off..!! A simple solution (now) to a unique failure- Which the cause was a defective Brake light switch connector that I replaced to next day. I plan to relay this cure to the L.D. Caravan Club & Technoz group @ Lake Perris the 18th of this month..!! Gene Caulfield , LD#2033, 1998 FL/RB 23' "Big Red" Ford V-10
