Re: MB Battery Location Reply #4 – November 20, 2012, 10:15:43 pm Yahoo Message Number: 135273All the midbath owners I know who have added extra AM batteries have done it the same way I did: two in the standard location, plus two or three more in the cabinet under the fridge. This minimizes the cable run lengths and keeps all batteries on the same level, which makes hookup easier when working with large cable (in my case AWG 0000). And the interior floor is easily able to support the weight of the batteries. The storage bin below the battery compartment is typically used to hold a whole-house inverter/charger, a power conditioning unit, the business end of a high-power solar charge controller, and so on. These items don't weigh much, so there's no worry about the bin's ability to support them. (I also store my shore power cables and extension cords there, along with a polarity/voltage checker, 15A/30A and 50A/30A adapters, and a dozen Lynx leveling blocks.)Andy Baird http://www.andybaird.com/travels/
